In REACH, you can access all your current and previous applications made in PEOS. You may have noticed our URL has changed to https://apply-reach.plymouth.ac.uk. Please update any bookmarks you use to access the system.

Form updates

The forms were updated on Thursday 30 April at 12:01PM

This update included minor changes to the Human Ethics Application form to fix an error with question C3: M, and fix compatibility issues between the Human Ethics Application and related sub-forms.

Please see further details below in regards to advice on updating your form.

The next forms update is scheduled for Tuesday 26 May.

Important information for REACH (formerly PEOS) users with unsubmitted applications or applications requiring resubmission.

PEOS is now REACH, and a new Human Ethics application form was launched on 8th April 2026.

If you have an ethics application that was created before 8th April 2026, it is using the old PEOS form. When you open the application, you may see a yellow banner* at the top of the page informing you that a new version of the form is available and asking you to update your application.

Before you update your form, please save a copy by selecting 'View PDF' and then downloading to your device or OneDrive. This is to avoid data loss that may occur when updating to the latest version of the form.

During the grace period, you can still submit (or resubmit) your existing form using the current format. Simply by-pass the update message.

Known Issues

Form affected: Human Ethics (research) v26.1

Issue details: Section C3: Research Specific Risk Categories, Question: M. Box MUST be ticked or the form cannot be submitted.

Workaround: Please tick the box and if the risk is not relevant to your project, please write a comment in the notes box: 'Risk not identified, selected due to technical error.'

This error has now been resolved. Please update your form to correct the issue.
